The original Ryburn Valley Milkman was my wife Janice's dad, Cyril Wilkinson, who owned a local dairy farm and retailed milk bottled on the farm during the 1960's and 70's.   We still deliver to many of his original customers, their children and even grandchildren!   Cyril's philosophy was to use the services of local businesses whenever possible, buying feed and dairy equipment from local traders.                     Our philosophy has never changed and using local businesses is very important to us.  We believe that this principle helps keep communities together, as does the employment of local people, both on the farm and on the 'round'.

As well as delivering quality products, the Ryburn Valley Milkman also keeps an eye on properties, the well being of the elderly and the young.  We have helped to catch burgulars, car thieves, assisted confused older people and on two ocassions found toddlers who have let themselves out of there homes in the early hours of the morning!  Having fresh milk delivered means there is less chance of missing out on Breakfast, the most important meal of the day.
